Amazing Bangkok Experience : Somerset Park Suanplu

The moment I have been waiting for years has finally came true when my Bangkok dream was made into reality on July 6, 2012. Yes, we are going to Bangkok, Thailand. It was a birthday gift from my husband as well as the pre-celebration of our 5th Wedding Anniversary.

Through the help of Expedia Website, we have booked our flight thru Air Asia as well as our  accommodation at the Somerset Serviced Residence located in South Sathorn Road, Bangkok.  Our accommodation package includes free buffet breakfast and complimentary wireless connectivity.


Our WiFi Passcode Card and Key Card
Wireless internet connectivity is included in the package we got so we paid nothing for the internet.  We just need to log with the details provided in the card.


The Living Room
The living room has also a television set and a small office table where you can do some of your little office stuffs.


The Dining Area
The six-seater table for the dining area is perfect for my family.  Enough space for our foods.  The comfortable chairs made us eat a lot.


The Kitchen

Nothing to ask for except for the rice cooker.  The dishwashing liquid, dish sponge, microwave oven, fridge, frying pan, plates, spoons, forks, glass, cups and saucers, electric boiling pot, oven, stove - they are all present in the kitchen.


Bedroom Two

The second bedroom has 1 queen-size bed, a built-in cabinet with hangers inside, a desk, and also a television set. 


Toilet Room
The common toilet room has also an enough space.  Two body towels, 2 small towel and a towel for the floor were provided and were being change every day.



The Master's Bedroom
The Master's Bedroom is almost the same as the second bedroom.  The only difference is that, there is a toilet inside the room.  A flat iron and an ironing board were found inside the room's cabinet as well as the safety deposit box.


The Master's Bedroom Toilet and Bath room
The toilet and bath inside the Master's Bedroom has a bath tub and is bigger than the common toilet and bath room.  Bigger and spacious, they also provide atleast 2 body towels, 2 small towels and a floor towel which were also being  change everyday. In addition, it has a laundry basket and a hair blow dryer.


The Laundry Area
One thing that made my heart roll out is the laundry area.  It really didn't made me as far away from home when I saw what were inside this room.  A front load washing machine and a dryer. It really feels like I am having my own laundry shop! After the long hours of walking and roaming around such places in Bangkok, I always made sure that I have washed the clothes every night. I did not miss a day without using the machines.    

Overall, our 4 days and 3 nights stay at the Somerset Park Suanplu was great.  It made us feel home.  Very comfortable, great service and is perfect for family especially with little ones.

Johan's Tantrum Moments

When my son reached the age of 2, we had experience a lot of different mood swings.  Yes, it's the tantrum attack that tests our patience. It is a bit tiring but we all know as parents, it's part of childhood as well as parenthood experience. 

Below are some of his " cute tantrum moments".  And often times, it happens when he is sleepy and if my son wants him to be carried but we won't do it because he is very heavy.

Whenever it attacks, my husband and I would just leave him on the floor, we'll just watch him and  let him do whatever he wants to do. 


Now I wonder which Airport will be my son's next victim.  Can you guess where?

I thank God for all the blessings he gave us for the past years.  Last year was one of the best year I've ever had.  It was February when we bought our first car named, Goldie.  We had celebrated my son's first birthday last March with the rest of our love ones in Manila.  Not only that, I spent my 3-0 birthday bash in my homeland.  And since my birthday month which is July was also our wedding anniversary month, a surprise 4th Wedding Anniversary Treat was given to me of course, the sweetest... by my husband. We stayed overnight at The Nurture Spa.  The ambiance was really, really nice!  So relaxing.  So stressed-free.  So cool.  Yes, literally cool because it is located in Tagaytay.

The month of July also was a dream come true month for us as a family because of something very special that I can say that my husband made it really complete for us.  We have a healthy son, a car and now he gave us shelter.  I am very proud and grateful of Julius for turning each of my dreams into reality. 



I am looking forward for what 2012 can bring to us.  I wish everyone in our family and love ones bountiful blessings of health and long life.  Thank you, 2011.  Hello, 2012!
